KPC Highest Royalty Payer

The Indonesia Mining Association (IMA), Friday (14/12), gave awards to companies that had the largest contribution in 2018. On that occasion, PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), was named a company depositing Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP), or the highest royalty is more than IDR 6.6 trillion.

In addition to the highest royalty depositor, KPC has also been named the best company in managing the mining environment.

The title of the highest royalty payer has been received by KPC in the last three years. KPC won the title, since there was an award for a company that contributed greatly to the State by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

For this time, the award was submitted by the Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bambang Gatot Ariyono and was received by the Director of KPC RA Sri Dhamayanti.

Until the end of 2018, data from the Ministry of Finance as released to various media showed that PNBP from the energy and mineral resources (ESDM) sector continued to increase in the past two years. This was evidenced by the realization of the ESDM sector’s PNBP of IDR 217.5 trillion in 2018, up 53.4% ​​of the target in the 2018 State Budget amounting to IDR120.5 trillion.

Data from the ESDM Ministry shows that the oil and gas subsector contributed IDR 163.4 trillion from the target of IDR 86.5 trillion, while the mineral and coal subsector contributed IDR 50 trillion from the target of IDR 32.1 trillion. The subsector of new renewable energy and energy conservation contributed IDR 2.3 trillion from the target of IDR 0.7 trillion. While others are IDR 1.8 trillion from the projection of IDR 1.2 trillion. (*)
