KPC Wins Three OHS Awards from the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower

Even though it was hit by the Covid-19 Pandemic for more than a year, it did not diminish the commitment of PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) in maintaining Occupational Health and Safety (K3) performance. This is proven by the receipt of three OHS awards in 2021 from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.

Through an invitation letter number 566/1286 / PPK / DTKT / 2021 regarding the Giving of the National OHS Award in 2021 and the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower’s Youtube live broadcast, the three awards achieved by KPC are Zero Accident (Zero Accident) and two Platinum categories for the P2HIV Program and P2COVID-19.

The award was presented by the Minister of Manpower DR Ida Fauziyah and attended by KPC through the zoom and live Youtube application of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Wednesday (28/4/2021).

The Minister of Manpower, DR Ida Fauziyah, in his speech expressed his high appreciation to companies that continue to prioritize OHS aspects in their operations. Although Fauziyah admitted that, this year there was a decrease in the number of companies implementing OHS properly and seriously.

“I admit, there is a decrease in the number of companies that won the OHS award in 2021, because the impact of Covid-19. For that I appreciate companies that are still implementing OHS under the conditions of the Covid-19 Pandemic, “said the Minister of Manpower.

Furthermore, Ida Fauziyah hopes that the award she has given can motivate other company leaders in order to improve their performance in the field of OHS. Because according to Fauziyah, OHS is not a burden, but an investment to increase company productivity. (*)
